The DR-100 is a rugged instrument that provides versatility and accuracy in a wide range of applications. Easy to use, the DR-100 takes the guesswork out of setting precise and repeatable optical reflections in the lab. The degree of reflection is controlled with an internal stepper-motor that is geared to give a balance of speed and precision. The versatile design allows each unit to be custom-built to address the specific requirements of a user-defined fiber optic system.
The level of optical reflection can be set directly with the DR-100 keypad. The DR-100 can also operate in a mode that allows for continuous increment and decrement.
The built-in RS-232 interface enables reflection-level control for computer-based applications. The host computer can send commands directly to the DR-100 using the RS-232 serial cable.
When a singlemode variable reflector is required, a beam blocking technique is used; when a multimode variable reflector is required, a variable neutral density filter is used.
